About the QR Code

The QR (quick response) code is a type of two-dimensional bar code popular in places like Japan. It’s being used primarily to transmit small bits of data like URLs and text messages to mobile devices.

1. Download and install QR code reading software for your device.

For users with iPhones go to the iTunes Apps store.
For users with Blackberrys and other smart phones, I suggest trying out Beetagg.

*There are definitely a whole slew of reader products out there. You may want to google a reader that is compatible with your phone.

2. Run the QR code reading software and take a snapshot of the QR code.

*Some software will load QR code recognition right in to your normal camera application.

3. The software will decode the QR code and will prompt an action
like open a URL.

Depending on your platform you will have different options. For example on the iPhone it is possible for QR codes to automatically populate your address boo or to automatically connect you to the iTunes store.
